Terminology is an essential element for workout building and curriculum organization. It allows trainers to manage their training content and separate their thoughts. Each method, when identified, allows for a different trait or characteristic to be discovered, even though the skill may be the same. For instance, if a player was performing a split thru, they could do a med ball "touch" with their off hand which would give them the trait of a more extreme low position. However, a med ball "grab" during a split thru would raise their body position and require a different level of reaction. One skill may be trained, but when using different methods, a player can achieve different traits within that skill for a more well-rounded skill-set.
